Reusable, Leak-Free Vacuum Connection
This Vacuum Connector is the most economical choice for a reusable, leak-free vacuum port in a basic vacuum bagging or resin infusion installation.
Installation is simple: insert base within vacuum bag, then pull threaded opening through a small hole made in the film; slide on O-ring, followed by the nut.
Air can be drawn directly from the vacuum bag by attaching 1⁄2" Vacuum Tubing (#893), secured with our continuous band Hose Clamps (#789).

Love 'em!Easy to deal with, inexpensive, and easy to remove dried epoxy if needed. I would advise deburring around the edges so it can't hurt your bagging material.
Product was as described. I removed mold parting flash for a better seal.
This fitting is easy to use as a reliable no leak vacuum fitting. Its also easy to clean should you get resin sucked into it.
These are great once they've been de-flashed. The parting lines from the injection molding tool used are pretty sharp and poorly trimmed, especially on the area where they contact the bagging film. One of mine did pierce bagging film, so I took them all over to my lathe and spun them down to a smooth contact area, then rounded off the sharp edges which are all around the perimeter. After that, they're really good at the vacuum end of things, although I'm using a bead of waste butyl tape from previous runs to go around the edge where the bag is pierced, just to be 100% sure!Well worth the money for such a specialized item, but a bit of elbow grease makes them even better.
