Collection: Braided Sleeves

Biaxial sleeve is braided, rather than woven, and features cosmetics much like that on our fabrics featuring the 2x2 twill weave pattern. They have been designed to be biaxial, meaning that they have properties that allow them to be strong and stiff in two directions.

These sleeves are typically used to reinforce or strengthen other materials, and are often used in the construction of aircraft, auto, and other high-performance structures where lightweight and high strength are important. They can also be used to repair damaged or weakened parts, or to improve the performance of existing structures by adding additional strength and stiffness.

Sleeves can be slid over a prepared mandrel or cylinder to create straight or tapered tubing. Sleeves completely conform to the shape of products with changing geometries, like prosthetics and hockey sticks.

Overall, braided biaxial sleeves improve performance, minimize weight, and maximize strength properties for a variety of unique applications.
